Why It Matters

Online risks have never been greater. There are two kinds...

Human

Social media or gambling addiction, online bullying, teen depression, scams, etc..

Technical/Financial

Identity theft, hacks into devices, phishing, etc.. In terms of harm done, technical problems are not as bad as the "human issues".
Q. Where's the good online safety info?
A. Everywhere. That's the problem.
The best information is scattered all over the Internet. This site is designed to help you track it down. That's why it looks a bit plain: it's only here to point the way.

Who Needs Help...

Anyone vulnerable to online problems— especially the young, but also the elderly, and anyone disadvantaged in other ways: (for example because they're not very fluent in English).

What They Need

Everybody knows E-Safety is important but it's never urgent (until something bad happens). There's no point asking anybody to put aside big blocks of time. We want to provide short, simple messages, to help people start learning and keep going.

How to Reach Them?

Partnerships

We can't reach the people who need help. That takes local knowledge. Instead, we work with the organisations and groups already helping people in the area. We also need to reach mums, because they're the ones who help both young and old in their families. If you're a non-profit, community group, school or a Mum, talk to us about how we can support you to make everyone safe online. If we work with our partners to deliver short, simple messages on a regular basis, and to handle any questions that may come up, there's a good chance that together we can really improve online safety in our area.
