Can I work from home?Yes there's plenty of work that can be done at home
How much time would I have to commit?It's up to you - we'd rather you don't offer to spend more time than you can manage.
I prefer to work with people. Can I do that?Yes there's a lot of co-ordination that needs to do be done.
Can you use my presenting skills?Yes, we really need help from people who can do presentations.
Can you use my teaching skills?Certainly. You could train others who'll do presentations within their groups.
What training will I get?We'll do any training that you need and provide material you can refer to
What support will I get?If you're working in the community we'll accompany you to start with, and we're available to help out with any queries or problems
I prefer to continue work with my groupFine! You can be the online safety expert within your group.
Can I just do something simple and straightforward?Yes, you can deliver posters and leaflets if you like.
Do I need to know a lot about technology?No— lots of what we do is not about the tech— but you'll be able to learn about it if you're interested.
Do you need web design?Yes, there's work styling our web pages and creating new ones.
Will I need a DBS (criminal record) check?No, our volunteers do not currently work in situations where DBS checks are required
I'm on benefit. Will volunteering affect my benefit?Let us know if this is your situation and we'll help you to get an answer
I have a criminal record – can I still volunteer?Certain roles could be avalable once we have details of the offence
Does it involve counselling?No, but you can refer people who need individual help to an expert on our list
